B A B Y L O N -- song by Jim Terrell |
BABYLON
(Revelation 18)
Let me sing for you a song of a woman clothed in red.
She's a city rich and proud, she's a harlot on her bed.
BABYLON, BABYLON, at last your time has come.
The blood you shed is on your head and death for you begun.
Idols line your spacious halls, your merchandise of gold,
Silks and satins, jewels and pearls, silver, slaves and souls.
Merchants all enriched by her stand apart in fear.
Weeping, trembling, wailing cry, "at last her time is here."
BABYLON, BABYLON, at last your time has come.
The blood you shed is on your head and death for you begun.
Come out of her My people. Come out and stand apart.
Her sins have reached to heaven,
And her judgment soon will start!
