Birds, Bees, Fountains and Flowers
So husbands ought also to love their own wives
as their own bodies.
He who loves his own wife loves himself;
for no one ever hated his own flesh,
but nourishes and cherishes it,
just as Christ also does the church,
because we are members of His body.
For this reason a man shall leave his father
and mother and shall be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh.
This mystery is great;
but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

The honey bee is responsible for 80 percent of pollination worldwide.
Bee populations have been falling fast around the world,
and dropped an alarming 23%
in the U.S. last winter.
A strong and growing body of evidence points to exposure
to a class of neurotoxic pesticides called neonicotinoids
- the fastest-growing and most widely used class of
synthetic pesticides
- as a key contributing factor to bee declines.
. . . three of the leading pesticide corporations -
Bayer, Syngenta, and Monsanto -
are engaged in a massive public relations disinformation
campaign to distract the public and policymakers from
thinking that pesticides might have something to do
with bee death and destruction.
And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.
For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race.
But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison.

In the Fear of the LORD

Is it really that simple? Can the confusion in the mind,
and sin on the lips of man, of woman, be put out by divine washing --
through the fountain of Life which is the Fear of the LORD?
Because of the holy Blood of Jesus Christ.
Yes. It is that simple.
And yes. It is that profound.
Consider the lilies,
how they grow:
they neither toil nor spin;
but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory
clothed himself like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass in the field,
which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace,
how much more will He clothe you? You men of little faith!

| Desire Fulfilled |
Long stretches of our lives could be titled,
Hope deferred makes the heart sick.
Yet the day, hour and minute arrives when
Desire fulfilled is a tree of life!
(Proverbs 13:12)
Awaking before dawn,
ever-changing shapes of the clouds with their amazing colors
blessed my eyes as I stood at the open bedroom window.
With camera ready, I would worship and sing praise to Our God.
So my file of dawn photos grew quickly over the course of a year.
Then suddenly my life changed again and I re-located.
The bedroom window at dawn was no longer a portal of inspiration for me.
A tinge of regret clouded my heart requiring patience to wait
for the new portal to be revealed.
"Perhaps sunsets now?" I thought to myself. So for several days
as sunset approached, I walked in different directions to
"get the lay of the land" and find an horizon suitable to my purpose.
The largest obstacle was the long, high tension wires stretched between many metal towers which supported them. From underneath, the buzzing of the electrical flow is heard as it travels the wires.
Then THAT DAY came! As the sun's setting approached,
I glanced up from my keyboard toward the window.
A rosy - orange glow met my eyes,
and I quickly left the house.
Blazing sky was to my right,
and a glow with the added view of the moon, to my left.
Quickly walking the path, I found the place
between two towers with the powerlines above me,
not intruding on the camera's view.
Turning right then left, right then left,
these pictures came into the view-finder of my camera,
and my excitement was high!
The place for perfect sunset vision was revealed
directly underneath
the power transport system
about which I had been complaining!
This was indeed,
A PROPHETIC REVELATION!
As we meditate on the Glory of God seen here, we see proof that our inspiration, our provision,
our enabling will suddenly appear to us and become our "tree of life" --
thus fulfilling our godly desire!
Thank You, Lord!

An allegory in pictures
After two weeks of gray dawns,
I was hoping for some nice color.
There were good clouds, but the brilliant,
hoped-for color wasn't happening.
So I snapped what I saw,
and after waiting for more, I gave up and sat down
at my computer.
Glancing through the 
I saw a brightly-tinged cloud,
and quickly got my camera.
Then I smilingly checked my email.
At the window again, high above,
bright pink clouds trailed across the sky past
the nearby pine tree.
Finally, while transferring my new pictures from
the camera to the computer, I gave thanks that
I could capture these different expressions of
God's beautiful dawn - all within a short timeframe.
Suppose I had not looked again, and again -
Much beauty would have been missed!
WATCHMAN, here is the allegory:
May our eyes stay open and watchful!
May our ears be attuned to His still, small voice!
