Life is amazing!

Sometimes you can live from day to day

with the same-old, same-old routine --

then suddenly, whammo!

You can see, or hear, or experience something

remarkable and life changing -- either for you  --

or for someone else,

and you were privileged to be part of it.

It depends on where we look, and how we look.

Is our vision down the long and empty tunnel

of self-centeredness, making us blind?

Or is it through the prism of God-revealed

truth that is so lovingly offered to us?

Day by day, hour by hour,

the choice is ours.

Each choice will determine our future life.

Will it be desolate and filled with spiritual and

material poverty,  or will it be filled

with truth and beauty, love and light?

WE CHOOSE!

And accordingly, we pray…

It all depends on our

P O I N T

March 10, 2009, with camera at-the-ready, I stood at my bedroom

window marveling at the changing skies of the dawn.

The window faces east, and over the roof and treetops,

beautiful things were happening.

Rescue at Dawn

In between the pictures: “Dawn” and  “Dawn Again”, a rescue ambulance approached and stopped before a door to my left, across the street. Watching, I prayed for whoever might be in need of help within the house.

The well-trained, experienced crew did their work, and a man was helped.

As the human drama unfolded, I saw the skies declaring God’s glory,

and I felt His loving Presence.

Dawn Again

Dawn Again, March 10, 2009

Several days later, as two men began to replace

damaged siding on the back of my house, Doug's Rescue

a freak accident occurred.

The ladder on which a man

was standing at the second-story level, began to slip.

It quickly came down to the deck carrying its passenger,

and landed on his left leg.

Blanket and pillows were provided, and prayer was offered.

Within a few minutes, a rescue crew arrived.

Also, my camera was at-the-ready.

Human drama was again accompanied by witness

of God’s loving care.

While we regret the accident, and the man's injury,

we are thankful that the man is now healing from several breaks

of his lower leg, and that insurance will cover the cost.

He is thankful, and at peace.
