Psalm 12, a psalm of David |
Psalm 12
a psalm of David
Help, LORD, for the godly man ceases to be,
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
They speak falsehood to one another;
With flattering lips and with a double heart they speak.
May the LORD cut off all flattering lips,
The tongue that speaks great things;
Who have said, "With our tongue we will prevail;
Our lips are our own; who is lord over us?"
Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy,
Now I will arise," says the LORD; "I will set him in the safety for which he longs."
The words of the LORD are pure words;
As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.
You, O LORD, will keep them; You will preserve him from this generation forever.
The wicked strut about on every side when
vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
[We believe that it is not by accident that Congressman Trey Gowdy,
Chairman of the committee investigating Benghazi, is from the state of
South Carolina. We salute him today, along with the other fine people
of that state. We trust that his handling of the facts concerning the
disasterous murders and deceptions of that period will bring forth truth
and justice - that all our questions will be set to rest.
Finally, that although Lady Liberty is in danger of drowning now, that she will be rescued and cleansed, because,
'Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty!'
and 'when the enemy comes in like a flood,
the Spirit of the LORD will raise up a standard against him!']
