"A New Sound and the Armor of Light"

A Company with a Psalmist Anointing
Recently God gave me the following dream:
A young lady was playing a guitar and singing a song from the front of a church. She had red hair. The song was one that she had written previously but she sung it differently than before. The rhythm was slower than the original composition. It was very anointed and drew people into deep and engaged worship. There were two pillars at the front of the church. Painted-one on each pillar-were two angels. The angels were distributing God's armor of light.
The young lady represents a company of men and women with a psalmist anointing. Many of these psalmists are already anointed but they will begin to sing in a new way. It will activate the angelic realm and release great authority.
In Genesis 1 the mandate to have dominion over the earth was given to both Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:26-28). When men and women walk together in their God ordained authority the result is dominion. A new sound will come forth from men and women that will release this dominion.
The young lady had red hair. Red hair is the least common hair color, comprising only one to two percent of the world population. Red is also the color of passion. These anointed psalmists will be unique and different. They will be passionate lovers of God.
Worship and Warfare Go Together
Like David they will be men and women with a heart after God (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22). As a young man David was described as ruddy (1 Samuel 16:12, 17:42). Ruddy means fresh, young, alive and bright. David was supernaturally energized by the heart of God. When he became king over Israel he pitched a tent to house the ark of the covenant. David's tent was renown for the manifest presence of God and continuous praise and proclamation. Scripture makes it clear that David's tent will be restored once again (Isaiah 16:5, Amos 9:11, Acts 15:16).
The young lady played a guitar. The song wasn't complicated. It was a simple sound that came from the heart. In a similar way David played the harp to relieve Saul from demonic torment (1 Samuel 16:16, 23). Even more intriguing than this is the fact that David and his army officers appointed psalmists to prophesy with harps, lyres and cymbals (1 Chronicles 25:1-6). Army officers appointed psalmists! In the Hebrew mindset warfare and worship were intricately connected.
When David was faced with dire situations he worshiped. His worship activated the Spirit realm. The activity in the Spirit realm brought deliverance. Biblically the term "new song" is most often connected with deliverance (Psalm 33:3, 40:3, 96:1, 98:1, 144:9, 149:1, Isaiah 42:10, Revelation 5:9, 14:3).
In Psalm 57:8, David stirred himself, "Awake, my soul! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn." David was in the midst of vicious men who wanted to destroy him: "I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts-men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords" (Psalm 57:4).
David's prophetic praise brought about personal deliverance and protection. But after David became king, he also knew the significance of prophetic praise for national deliverance and protection. In Psalm 108:2, he once again stirred himself, "Awake, my soul! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn." This time the context was different. The nation of Israel was in a dire situation. David cried out to God, "Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and He will trample down our enemies" (Psalm 108:12-13).
Although the young lady in my dream sang a song that she had already written, it was done in a way that was new, powerful, and anointed. The rhythm was slower. She was in-tune with the movement in the spirit realm. The slower rhythm also speaks of slowing down so that we don't miss that which is in the spirit. Many miss God because they are moving too fast.
The Angelic Realm and the Armor of Light
In my dream two pillars stood at the front of the church. Pillars uphold and support. The Church will be upheld and supported by a new sound that will release the heart of David, the angelic realm, and great impartation. This will lead to profound authority as we advance fully clothed in the armor of light. There was an angel painted on each pillar. Paintings and prophetic art will have an increasing authority to convey the heart and purpose of God.
There will be an increased sensitivity to and cooperation with the angelic realm. Interestingly there were two cherubim on the ark of the covenant. Their outspread wings formed a seat for God to sit on. This seat was known as the mercy seat. It was a governmental seat of authority. The manifest presence of God appeared on this mercy seat.
The angels in my dream were releasing the armor of light to the Body of Christ. In Romans 13:12 Paul says, "The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." This armor is to equip us for the great end-time battle. Three thousand years ago David's tent was used to change the atmosphere over the nation of Israel. The process went something like this:
• Psalmists and musicians connected directly with the spirit realm.
• Profound revelation was released through prophetic songs and proclamations.
• The songs had a governmental authority that changed the atmosphere over the nation.
• Through these songs the nation of Israel was equipped with the armor of light.
The same pattern will be fulfilled in our day. This time it will go beyond just one nation. Anointed psalmists will arise. New sounds will come forth. The Body of Christ will be equipped with the armor of light. The nations of the earth will be impacted.
