now a World Heritage Site.

Sheep, Le Mont Saint Michel
have commanded that it be built and

that he be worshipped.

Kings, prelates and knights came here,
building grandeur and legend, which

captivated the people.

According to Holy Scripture, the Archangel Michael would never have commanded that he be worshiped - at what is called Le Mont Saint Michel, or at any other place.

Angels were created to serve God, not to compete with Him. This was, however, the very sin of Lucifer, who wanted to exalt himself and to be worshiped.

Let us therefore view this remarkable edifice, and the religious pattern formed from it, for what it is: the stuff of myth and legend.

This photo however, reminds us of the humble sheep of the pasture which feed on the salty grass of this place. This grass is a reminder that Our Lord Jesus told His disciples that they were to be "salt and light."

Several thousand years before, the shepherd David understood this, for he wrote this immortal song:

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,

He leadeth me beside the still waters,

He restoreth my soul.

He leadeth me in paths of righteousness for His Name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I shall fear no evil. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.

Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

And I shall dwell in the House of the Lord, forever!

(Psalm 23, KJV)
