The Sun of Righteousness
"For
behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and
every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them
ablaze," says the LORD of hosts, "so that it will leave them neither
root nor branch."
"But for you who fear My
name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you
will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.
"You will tread down the
wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I
am preparing," says the LORD of hosts.
"Remember the law of Moses
My servant, even the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for
all Israel.
"Behold, I am going to send
you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the
LORD.
"He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse."
Let us look again at the promise of the rising of the Sun of Righteousness:
says the LORD of hosts, "so
that it will leave them neither root nor branch."
"But
for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in
its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall..
"You will tread down the
wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I
am preparing," says the LORD of hosts.
However, in the meantime, we are being tested and
tried in the furnace of life’s afflictions.
The fire of God’s Presence is refining us
and removing the dross from our beings,
in our relationships, and in every part
of our lives.
The humble and honest soul will make it through the fiery ordeals
of preparation.
Although our flesh wants its own way, our
spirit wants to bow before its Creator.
This is why Apostle Paul wrote:
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
Let
your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
(Philippians
4:3-4)
pray
without ceasing;
in
everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Do not quench
the Spirit… (1 Thessalonians
5:17-19)
So, let us hum and
whistle that hymn and gospel song!
Let us sing out loud, and clap our hands!
Let us dance!
Let us play our
guitars, keyboards, strings, winds and brass,
And bang on percussion instruments,
Making a joyful noise
to the LORD!
HE IS COMING TO JUDGE THE EARTH,
AND WE ARE HIS CHILDREN!
THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS ABOUT TO ARISE
WITH HEALING IN ITS WINGS,
AND CHILDREN AND PARENTS ARE TURNING
TO ONE ANOTHER!
